The monsters in my head

I have been drawing the monsters in my head for many years now—at bars and restaurants, coffee shops and patios, from Chicago to Australia and the many places in-between. They started on cocktail napkins at a dive in Chicago and migrated to wood blocks, skateboards, and now metal creatures.

 

The metal monsters were spawned out of love—as a gift to my parents—who have been my rock, my inspiration, and relentless support and encouragement. In collaboration with Steve Christena of Arc Academy, we created the coffee monster to keep my dad company when he has his coffee in the morning, on the patio among the plants and flowers, and the cocktail monster for my mom as a nod to all our sassy fun Glögg "prep" days shared throughout the years.

 

They are my joy. And hopefully they'll bring a bit of a smile to your day too!​
